Chelsea and Super Eagles midfielder John Obi Mikel is in contention for a place on the bench in Saturday's Premier league clash with Queens Park Rangers after resuming training.
The
Jos-born star has been out of action for a while which ruled him out of
the Super Eagles friendlies in March and had a minor knee operation on a
meniscus in the week prior to the Capital One Cup final.
The
Super Eagles star was was in full training the week before last
weekend's game against Stoke but not included in the squad due to what Jose Mourinho called 'tiredness'.
John Obi Mikel has only been a bit-part player for the Blues this season, with Nemanja Matic firmly established as the club’s first-choice in the holding midfield role.
The Nigeria international has only started four league games and nine appearances as a substitute.
