In Lagos: Air Force helicopter involved in accident at airport



Nigerian Air Force (NAF) helicopter has been involved in an accident at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport(MMIA) in Lagos State.
The accident occurred at about 10am on Friday, April 10, 2015 while the Super Puma Helicopter was taxiing to the Hanger after a training exercise.
The helicopter suffered a severe damage due to hydraulic failure while on taxi to the Hanger,” Air Force spokesman, Dele Alonge, said in a statement regarding the incident.
Some other ground equipment were destroyed in the crash but no casualty was recorded.
The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Adesola Amosu has however ordered an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
