Jordan Henderson spent much of the previous night in a labour ward as his wife gave birth to their second child – but he was back to lead Liverpool to the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
The midfielder had left the team hotel in Blackburn Rovers to be at his partner’s side but had promised to be 'back as soon as the baby’s out'.
He kept to his words and was back on the pitch and even created a goal.
He played a crucial one-two with Philippe Coutinho which allowed the little Brazilian to score Liverpool's first goal.
Liverpool will face Aston Villa in Wembly on Saturday, April 18 in one of the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
