In Judges 7, under Gideon’s leadership, God gives his people a victory over the occupying Midianites with an army of 300 men, none of whom end up actually fighting. God does it this way to show his people that he is the rescuer; God’s people don’t rescue themselves.

WHY I AM CORRUPT (Quite Revealing)
Written by Ayo Sogunro
Nigerians are corrupt, they say. I am a Nigerian and I know why I am corrupt...I am corrupt because I am hungry. Because I need the food, the whole food and nothing but the food. Because I have to “hustle” if I want to see the food. Because without food I amuse less, to myself and to society. A hungry man has no principles; morality is a luxury affordable to the well-fed.

Avoiding Investments That Are Too Good To Be True
Author of Practical Steps to Financial Independence and personal finance coach, Usiere Uko, writes on pyramid and Ponzi schemes, which are coming back in Nigeria.
They come and go, lie low for a season and then come back again; investment schemes that promise rates of return way above money market rates. While conventional rates are per annum, they promise returns at rates per month, per quarter etc. You get to double your money in a year or less. You make more money when you bring in more people. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

INTERESTING | Heirs Of Harmony
by Sarumi Lukman Oluwapelumi
Veraciously an heir is what every man wishes for before the journey to the land of no return, if gone family heritage, culture and history cease to exist. Sustaining ancestral pedigree lingers on the heart of an elder without a heir. However in the quest of seeking divine interference, recitations are offered solely for the good and upright offspring.

Northern Nigeria Experiences Rise In Islamist Fanatic Killings
by Dr. peregrino Brimah
The rise in mob religiously mis-inspired killings in north Nigeria cannot be overlooked. From Zamfara to Abuja. From Kano to Kaduna, there have been news reports of intolerant killings of Christians and Muslim minorities by zealous misguided youth and even state actors. While outspoken, illuminated Muslim scholars like Imam Murtada Muhammad Gusau have in clear terms preached against the gross violations by those who take lives against Islamic rule, the erring killers continue unfettered and unbothered. THE CHANGE WE VOTED FOR?
by Sanya Oni
Is this the change we voted for? Yes it is!That was Garba Shehu, the President’s spokesman’s riposte to the growing street broadsides in the aftermath of the vicious storms that have devastated the nation’s socio-economic landscape while turning most households destitute. That the response took some 1,700 words would seem to suggest the extent to which the deeply the anguished cries of Nigerians have managed to penetrate the thick, legendary impervious walls of the villa.

THE CHANGE I HAVE NOTICED
by Olalekan Adetayo
The present administration led by President Muhammadu Buhari came with a promise of change which is the slogan of the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress. Over one year after coming on board, there have been heated debates on whether the change is here or not. Most of the debates have been centred on what has become to be known in the nation’s political lexicon as dividends of democracy.
