Former Police IG hands over to successor, Solomon Arase

Abba handed over on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, after being relieved of his duties on Tuesday, April 21.

Former Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba has handed over to his successor, Solomon Arase.
Abba handed over on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, after being relieved of his duties on Tuesday, April 21.
The IGP’s sack was ordered by President Goodluck Jonathanbut no official explanation was given for the decision.
Reports however have it that Abba was fired for working against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during the recently held elections.
